Infants are at risk of developing motor and cognitive neurodevelopmental disabilities as a sequelae to hypoxic-ischemic brain injury during the perinatal period. It is an ongoing challenge to predict the severity and extent of future developmental impairment during the neonatal period. This study will help test the feasibility of conducting a large-scale study that evaluates the role of diffuse optical tomography as a bedside neuroimaging tool in complementing the prognostic value of conventional and diffusion weighted MRI for predicting neurodevelopmental outcome in neonates with perinatal hypoxic-ischemic brain injury.

To our knowledge, no study has compared the difference between these two NA techniques. Early postoperative adverse events like uncontrolled pain, orthostatic hypotension, urinary retention, and prolonged motor block are linked to late patient mobilization, prolong hospitalization and failure to discharge in outpatient setting. The type of anesthesia used may have an important impact. Therefore, this study has the potential to improve the already established ERAS program and improve patients care perioperative and postoperative. Showing that SED-EA and SA are equivalent will allow for a more efficient and reliable technique for THA/TKA ERAS program that can be further translated into other lower limb surgeries.

The purpose of this post-marketing study is to further characterize the long-term outcome of known or potential risks of lutetium (177Lu) vipivotide tetraxetan also known as \[177Lu\]Lu-PSMA-617 or 177Lu-PSMA-617 and hereinafter referred to as AAA617. The study also seeks to further characterize (as possible) any other serious adverse reaction(s) in the long-term in adults with prostate cancer who received at least one dose of AAA617 from interventional, Phase I-IV Novartis sponsored clinical trials.

Total knee arthroplasty is an effective surgical intervention for patients with chronic osteoarthritis commonly performed worldwide. Postoperative pain management has been a key focus in patient care for this procedure. Poorly controlled pain following total knee arthroplasty is associated with decreased ambulation, increased length of hospital stay, increased complications (particularly related to significant opioid use), and overall suboptimal patient recovery. Appropriate postoperative pain management utilizing motor sparing peripheral nerve blocks and periarticular injections has been shown to provide faster, more optimized patient recovery and reduced hospital length of stay in patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty. Adductor canal block (ACB) is a well-studied peripheral nerve block performed for analgesia following total knee arthroplasty. ACB is an effective component of multimodal analgesia providing improved pain control to the peripatellar and intra-articular aspect of the knee joint while largely preserving the strength of the quadriceps muscles1. In addition, perioperative local infiltration analgesia (LIA) performed by the orthopaedic surgical team is a common practice that has been shown to improve short-term postoperative pain relief and reduce total systemic opioid consumption during hospital stay2 for total knee arthroplasty. The Infiltration between the Popliteal Artery and Capsule of the Knee (iPACK) block is a newly described regional anesthesia technique for postoperative analgesia in total knee arthroplasty, performed under ultrasound guidance. It targets the articular branches of the tibial, common peroneal, and obturator nerves in the popliteal region, and aims to provide analgesia to the posterior aspect of the knee joint without compromising lower extremity motor function following total knee arthroplasty. This study aims to determine whether the IPACK block provides additional analgesia (in combination with ACB + LIA) for total knee arthroplasty surgeries. The study will examine how much additional analgesia IPACK provides in the context of an already-optimized regional anesthesia pathway for total knee arthroplasty, which uses ACB + LIA, both modalities that have reasonable existing evidence.

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) will be conducted over 1 year in youth with and/or at familial risk for bipolar disorder (BD). DBT will be divided into two modalities: 1) DBT skills training; and 2) DBT individual therapy sessions. Skills training sessions will incorporate the 5 standard adolescent DBT modules: mindfulness skills, emotion regulation skills, distress tolerance skills, interpersonal skills, and walking the middle path skills and an additional module on psychoeducation about DBT and BD. This study seeks to build upon the knowledge base in this area by offering DBT to youth with and/or at familial risk for BD with an emphasis on predictors and mediators of treatment outcomes.

This Economic Evaluation study is a multi-center, two-arm, non-randomized, interventional trial. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the economic and patient outcomes of using the Stream™ Platform for early detection of anastomotic leakage after gastrointestinal surgery. The trial will track patient outcomes and healthcare costs in two groups: the intervention group, where the Stream platform is deployed, and the control group, before the integration of the Stream™ Platform. The data collected from both groups will be compared to assess the impact of implementing the Stream™ Platform and early leak detection on overall patient outcomes and healthcare costs.This trial will include hepatobiliary, colorectal, and trauma/acute care patient populations.

This study will compare total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) reverse shoulder arthroplasty (RSA) procedures, in the context of a prospective, randomized-controlled trial to determine the optimal treatment in patients 65 years of age and older, and equal to or less than 15 degrees of glenoid retroversion, who have glenohumeral osteoarthritis.

The purpose of this study is to use MRI images using the OS-CMR technique to view the differences in the hearts of healthy volunteers and participants with a condition called Metabolic Syndrome. The objectives of this project are to compare these two groups and to view how health risks, blood test results, and the time since a Metabolic diagnosis can affect heart health.

Traumatic rib fractures (i.e., broken ribs caused by a physical injury) are common and very painful. They also often lead to serious complications, more time spent in hospital, and can even lead to death. Even after rib fractures have healed, they can lead to long-term pain and a lower quality of life. A technology called cryoneurolysis, which acts to freeze nerves causing pain using a small tool which can turn very cold, is a promising new way to manage rib fracture pain. This study is a test with a small number of people to see if it is feasible to use this technology for patients with rib fractures. If this is successful, we will recruit more people for a larger study to see if cryoneurolysis, along with standard pain control techniques, is better at stopping pain, compared to just the normal techniques alone. Participants in our study will be asked to rate their pain, and record pain medications that they take for 3 months after their pain procedure.

This study evaluates two Internet-delivered cognitive behavioural therapy (ICBT) interventions: one for symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and one for symptoms of anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Both interventions have been tailored for Canadian public safety personnel (PSP). Outcomes of interest include preference for disorder-specific or transdiagnostic care, engagement with the interventions, changes in symptoms and functioning, and strengths and limitations of implementing ICBT with Canadian PSP.
