The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called marstacimab) for the potential treatment of hemophilia in pediatric patients. This study will enroll pediatric participants from ages 1 to 17 years in a sequential manner. The study will open enrollment to adolescent participants aged 12 to 17 years first. Then children aged 6 to 11 years will be permitted to enroll. Lastly, children aged 1 to 5 years will be permitted to enroll. This study will enroll participants who: * have severe Hemophilia A or moderately severe to severe Hemophilia B (with or without inhibitors) * have accurate historical records documenting all factor VIII, factor IX, or bypass agent infusions and hemophilia bleed events for at least 1 year prior to entering the study * if a non-inhibitor patient, must be on a stable routine prophylaxis regimen with factor VIII or factor IX replacement products for at least 12 months prior to study entry * if an inhibitor patient, must be on an on-demand bypass treatment regimen during the 12 months prior to study entry All participants in this study will receive marstacimab to use prophylactically. Marstacimab will be given once a week as a subcutaneous (under the skin) shot. The first dose of marstacimab will be given at the study site by the study site staff. During the 12-month treatment period, weekly doses of marstacimab can be given at home, or if preferred, the doses may be given by the study site staff. To help us determine if the study medicine is safe and effective, we will compare participant experiences when they are taking the study medicine to a historical period when they were not. Researchers want to see if the study medicine works to prevent the bleeding episodes commonly experienced by patients with Hemophilia. Participants will be in this study for about 14 months (approximately 1 month in a Screening period, 12 months receiving treatment, and 1 month in a follow-up period) during which they will visit the study site at least 10 times. If preferred, and if local regulations allow it, 2 of the study visits can be completed at the participant's home instead of at the study site. There will also be 6 scheduled telephone calls approximately every 2 months.

When a baby is born with a low heart rate or no heart rate, the clinical team must provide breathing support and chest compressions (what is call cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR). In some situations, the clinical team also need to give medications to help the heart rate increase. During CPR, the most common medication given is called epinephrine. There is another medication called vasopressin that is available that could be beneficial to newborn babies. However, no study has compared epinephrine with vasopressin in the delivery room during neonatal CPR. The current study will be the first trial comparing this two medications during neonatal CPR. The investigators will randomize our hospital to either epinephrine or vasopressin for the duration of one year. Babies will either receive CPR with epinephrine (this will be the control group) or CPR with vasopressin ( this will be the intervention group). The investigators believe that vasopressin may be more helpful to babies with a low heartrate or no heart rate at birth.

The EMPOWER trial is a pilot multi-center, placebo-controlled (normal saline), double-blind (patient and outcome assessor), crossover, 2-year randomized trial in female outpatients with von Willebrand disease (VWD) and heavy menstrual bleeding to determine trial feasibility and viability, and to explore assay sensitivity of the proposed efficacy clinical outcomes for a definitive randomized controlled trial

Little is known about the factors that cause biliary atresia nor the factors that influence disease progression. The purpose of this study is to collect the pertinent clinical information, genetic material and body fluid samples to enable investigators to address the following aims: To identify the gene or genes implicated in the etiology of BA; To identify polymorphisms that may be important in disease progression such as HLA polymorphisms; To characterize the natural history of the older, non-transplanted child with BA.

Infertility affects approximately 10-15% of couples and one of its important modifiable risk factor is obesity, which affects 19% of Canadian women of reproductive age. Accordingly, many organizations have recommended that women should be assisted to adopt a healthy lifestyle prior to conception and maintain it during pregnancy. We therefore propose to conduct a multicenter randomized controlled trial (RCT) assessing the lifestyle intervention Fit-For-Fertility in women with infertility and obesity. Our hypothesis is that the Fit-For-Fertility program is an efficient and low cost solution to improve access to motherhood for women suffering from obesity and infertility. To test our hypothesis, seven fertility clinics having a good ethnic diversity will participate in this RCT and recruit a total of 616 women with obesity (BMI according to ethnicity) who consult at the fertility clinic. Participants will be randomly allocated to one of these two groups: the intervention group will be invited to participate in the Fit-for Fertility Program alone for 6 months and then in combination with usual fertility treatments; while the control group will receive standard fertility treatments from randomisation. The aim of the Fit-for Fertility Program will be to implement progressive and sustainable lifestyle changes, using 1) individual sessions with a dietitian and a kinesiologist every 6-12 weeks, for a total of 18 months or until the end of pregnancy; and 2) eight educational group sessions. Evaluation visits will take place prior to randomisation and then every 6 months for 18 months. Women who become pregnant will be evaluated early during pregnancy and at 26 weeks of gestation. Clinical outcomes will be assessed after a total follow up of 24 months. Anticipated contributions: The results of our multicenter RCT will provide important data on the importance of a lifestyle program supporting women with obesity consulting in fertility clinics, in order to improve their fertility and response to ART, as well as helping them to have a healthy baby. This study will also provide valuable information on potential cost savings for individuals and the healthcare system.

People with vascular conditions are at risk of having memory problems, and these memory problems increase the risk for further cognitive decline. Brain stimulation has been used to improve mood and memory. Transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) is believed to work best on brain cells that are active or "primed" before stimulation. The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of exercise and tDCS on memory performance in patients who have completed cardiac rehabilitation and are at risk of cognitive decline.

This study is part of the Health Canada approval requirement for JINARC™ (tolvaptan) and is an observational, non-interventional study (NIS) describing the impact of tolvaptan on ADPKD-related burden of illness as measured with a set of Patient Reported Outcome (PRO) Questionnaires. The study is also describing the time to renal replacement therapy (RRT), such as dialysis and transplantation, and the long-term mortality rate and causes (i.e. renal and hepatic), in ADPKD patients treated with JINARC™ (tolvaptan)

This is an Investigator initiated retrospective and prospective single cohort study. The study will utilize an international registry and develop a specimen biobank to provide an improved understanding of the natural history of hyposplasminogenemia, to elucidate the heterogeneity of phenotypic expression, identify markers to predict disease course, and inform improved therapeutic modalities

School-based mental health literacy interventions have been shown to reduce and/or prevent suicidal ideation and attempts. Most programs to date include an adapted version of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) - the gold standard treatment for youth and adult mood and anxiety disorders. CBT teaches youth about the relationship between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and provides strategies for managing distress. However, there is no established standard mental health literacy curriculum in Ontario. The investigators developed a school-based mental health literacy program that uses the third book in the Harry Potter series ('Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban') to teach students how to cope with distress through CBT skills. This study will determine whether the Harry Potter-based mental health literacy curriculum diminishes suicidality in students. The study will also determine whether the curriculum decreases depression and anxiety symptoms and improves well-being. The 3-month intervention is a manual-based curriculum which teaches CBT skills in English class. The website includes video and text-based onboarding to train teachers on all the lessons. Youth complete online exercises for each unit and teachers follow a manual with checklists to preserve high fidelity and standardization of core learning. Participating classes will be randomized in 1:1 fashion to receive the curriculum in the fall (\~Oct-Dec) or the winter (\~Feb-Apr). The study will use a stepped-wedge design to introduce the curriculum to classes sequentially testing whether students who receive it in fall will improve at mid-year and those in winter will catch up by year-end. The winter group is included as a "maturational" control to account for changes over the school year that are independent of the intervention and so that order effects of curriculum delivery can be tested. For this design, questionnaires will be administered four times throughout the school year (once before and after each semester), and once more the following year to measure duration of response. At each timepoint, subjects will complete validated questionnaires about suicide attempts and self-harm, anxiety, depression, well-being, and health services usage. Students may also choose to participate in focus groups to collect qualitative data on their experience with the curriculum. With additional consent (Ontario youth only), we will also collect aggregate lists of the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) numbers for participating students. These will be provided to the Institute of Clinical Evaluative Sciences (ICES) who will identify sex, age and pre-existing healthcare utilization matched controls from regions that do not adopt the curriculum.
