Short term virtual intervention for behavioral struggles in children with congenital heart disease

Congenital Heart Disease | Behavior Disorder (Unusual Behavior)

We are testing a treatment that is developed to improve behavioral functioning of children with congenital heart disease. The intervention is time limited and provided virtually (over video sessions) with the goal of helping parents manage and improve their child's behavior.

Participation Requirements

  • Sex:

    Male, Female, Intersex
  • Eligible Ages:

    3 to 9

Participation Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
1. Child must have congenital heart disease and be followed by cardiology clinic at the Alberta Children's Hospital
2. Child is between 3 and 9 years old
3. Parent has concerns about their child's behavior
4. parents must be able to speak and read English
5. parent is not involved in any other parenting interventions (triple P parenting, incredible years parenting program).
