Do Cognitive Skills Help Improve Diabetes Control?

We want to see if whether knowing how a child’s brain works helps get better blood sugar control in Type 1 Diabetes. We use information about how a child's brain works to determine the best way to work with the child and family to improve blood sugar levels. We also want to see if having this information lowers family stress and helps the family quality of life.

  • Sexe:

    Male, Female, Intersex

  • Âges admissibles:

    10 to 18

Critères de participation

Inclusion Criteria:
1. Child must have Type 1 Diabetes
2. The child should be between 10 and 18 years old
3. The child should have been diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at least 6 months before entering the study.
4. Child and family must be able to speak and read English.
Exclusion Criteria:
1. Families that do not speak English
2. Children who were diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes recently (within the last 6 months)
