Predictors for sucuss in lymphedema treatments.
LymphedemaLymphedema patients suffer from pain and limitations in movement due to swelling. The most common treatment is compression therpay but there are other treatment options such as massage therapy that manually drains lymphatic system. What factors contribute to the success of these therapies is unknown. This study will collect blood and/or skin samples before and after lymhedema treatments in paitents that requrie this treatment. Biological markers will be studied to see if there are any changes and whether these changes are associated wtih effectivness of these therapies. This will enable tailoring therapies towrard the individul patient and develop new treatments in the future.
