Tracks among Black People Phase 2

HIV | Survey

The purpose of the survey is to learn more about the health of Black people, and especially about:

1. HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
2. why some people may be at risk of these infections
3. what can help protect people from getting them

We’ll use the data to improve services for Black people and promote their health and wellbeing.

Participation Requirements

  • Sex:

    Any
  • Eligible Ages:

    16 and up

Participation Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
To complete the survey, the person must:

1. self-identify as Black
2. live in Alberta
3. be 16 years or older
Exclusion Criteria:
1. Less than 16 years
2. Incapable of understanding the information provided about the survey (e.g., due to intoxication, if the person has a significant intellectual or cognitive disability, etc.) and who is therefore unable to provide informed consent.
3. A person who is unable to understand English or French or a language that the local study team is equipped and has been trained to provide interpretation of the questionnaire.
4. A person who has already participated in the survey in the current phase.
