Enhancing Telehealth Use for Women's Pelvic Floor Health

The purpose of this study is to develop a group exercise program to support pelvic floor care for women living in rural remote areas of Alberta, who are experiencing urinary incontinence.

In addition to the exercise protocol, we aim to understand the demands for pelvic floor care in rural Alberta by conducting a needs assessment survey across all genders.

The purpose of this study is to assess the benefits of the exercise program developed in the pilot project between same and different age brackets.

Participation Requirements

  • Sex:

    Female
  • Eligible Ages:

    18 and up

Participation Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
Women who are experiencing urinary incontinence.

Amendment: 2024-03-07
For the ongoing exercise protocol, only females are included. However, for the upcoming needs assessment survey, all genders will be allowed to participate.

Women who are experiencing urinary incontinence.
Exclusion Criteria:
Women who are not experiencing urinary incontinence,
Women who have pelvic pain
Visually impaired women
Women with significant language barriers

The above exclusion criteria only applies to participants taking part in the exercise protocol development part of the project. No exclusion criteria is required for the needs assessment survey.

Women who are not experiencing urinary incontinence, Women who have pelvic pain, Women who are visually impaired, and women with significant language barrier will be excluded.
