Air quality Optimization for Kids with asthma: the A-OK study

Asthma | Air Quality

We are aiming to show that running an air purifier in the bedroom of a child with uncontrolled asthma will help them improve asthma control. To prove that the air purifier is working, we will keep track of air quality in the bedroom and the home. We will measure asthma and sleep quality with monthly questions and breathing tests. We will also check urine for chemicals from the air. By checking chemicals in the air, how the body takes them in and asthma at the same time we can show whether the air purifier truly helps.
