Over 18The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the impact of donor milk vs formula supplementation on human milk feeding and the health outcomes of infants who require supplementation in well-baby units. It aims to explore whether supplementation with donor milk vs formula for infants during the initial hospital stay in a well-baby unit will increase both the exclusivity and duration of breastfeeding at 4 months. The Investigators will also explore whether the type of supplementation will positively affect measures of newborns' health, growth, behavior, feeding efficacy, and parental stress. Each participating infant born to a diabetic mother OR born small for his/her gestational age (\<2500 grams) is assigned at random to 2 groups. The groups are: 1) Donor milk: all babies in this group will receive pasteurized donor milk from a trusted milk bank. 2) Formula: all babies in this group will receive formula as a standard of care.

Under 2Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), the non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate, places pressure on the urethra and causes urination and bladder problems. Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) remains the gold standard treatment in most centres for BPH. However, morbidity after TURP is high, especially bleeding requiring blood transfusion and late postoperative bleeding. Holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) is a safe and effective procedure which has demonstrated comparable results to TURP. HOLEP also offers patients the alternative of being treated endoscopically with minimal blood loss, short catheterization time, and decreased hospital stay. The main reason HoLEP has yet to become the new standard for treatment of symptomatic BPH is due the complexity of this procedure as compared to TURP. Furthermore, the HoLEP can be used with the MOSESTM system, a system that allows for more efficiency and ease of use of the HoLEP. Thulium fiber laser (TFL) enucleation of the prostate is an emerging technology for endoscopic prostate enucleation that is notable for its high wavelength and pulsed mode of action. Recent studies have shown TFL enucleation of the prostate to be a safe and highly efficacious treatment modality for the management of large volume (\> 80 cm3) glands in BPH. Due to its novelty, further studies are needed to broaden the investigators' understanding of the TFL and comprehend the full implications and benefits of this new technology, as well its limitations. The aim of this study is to whether Thulium Fiber laser enucleation of the prostate (ThuFLEP) and Holmium laser enucleation using MOSES™ (M-HoLEP) have comparable length of hospital stay, as well as intraoperative and postoperative outcomes.

AnyWhether it is for oncology or personal reasons, fertility preservation allows participants to preserve their oocytes (eggs) at their current age and condition for a better chance of having a baby in the future. In order to proceed with fertility preservation, participants will need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), which is standard practice, and take stimulation medication to stimulate production of more follicles. The combination of both Rekovelle and Menopur for fertility preservation may increase ovarian response to stimulation and increase the number of oocytes retrieved to give better chances of embryos once the oocytes will be fertilized. The goal in this study is to understand the effect of oxydative stress on the quality of oocytes. For the purpose of the study and to evaluate this connection, serum levels of oxidative stress and cf-DNA in your blood will be measured. Oocyte quality will also be assessed with Magenta, a prediction tool utilizing artificial intelligence (AI). This method is non-invasive and has no risks on the oocytes.

18 - 37The Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S) syndrome is common in high performance sports, and it impairs athletes' performance and health. The condition is caused by low energy availability (LEA). This means that the body does not have enough energy, after fuelling exercise, to support normal body functions. LEA weakens the structure of bone tissue and increases the risk of bone injuries, lowers your immune function, and increases risk of illnesses, lowers your metabolism, reduces reproductive hormones, and impairs muscle function. More people are investigating the use of nutrition education programs and individualized nutrition support to improve nutrition knowledge and eating habits in elite athletes. Because the results from available studies look promising, more professionals are examining the effectiveness of different nutrition intervention strategies to improve energy and nutrient intake in athletes. At this point, we do not know if athletes who have higher nutrition knowledge have better eating habits to lower the risk of LEA. Moreover, we do not know what nutrition interventions are useful to improve food intake in athletes who do not eat enough calories for exercise. With this study we hope to learn if individualized counselling in sport nutrition is associated with changes in eating habits and sport nutrition knowledge in elite athletes to enhance energy availability. It will also teach us if other factors are important to consider when relying on individualized sport nutrition counselling to lower the risk of LEA. Main Aim: Investigate the differences in individualized nutrition counselling characteristics, sport nutrition knowledge and self-reported body weight and shape concerns between high and low eating behaviour change responders among tier 4 and 5 elite athletes. Hypothesis: It is hypothesized that self-reported body weight and shape concerns will be negatively associated, and nutrition knowledge will be positively associated with changes in energy and carbohydrate intake in athletes receiving individualized nutrition counselling for 12 weeks.

18 - 40Individually, both opioid and cannabis exposure during pregnancy are associated with changes in fetal growth. The extent to which opioid and cannabis exposure affect fetal growth is unknown. The Investigators hypothesize that the combination of both substances will impact placental function and subsequent fetal growth more severely than either substance alone. The primary objective is to determine the extent to which fetal growth profiles in opioid-exposed pregnancies are influenced by cannabis exposure. This prospective cohort study will consist of opioid-exposed pregnancies and pregnancies without opioid exposure recruited from 5 obstetrical clinics from across Ontario. A total of 546 participants will be recruited.

Over 16Peripheral arterial disease (PAD), a disabling condition, affects 800,000 Canadians. People with PAD suffer from poor quality of life due to leg pain, which makes walking difficult. They also have a high risk of heart disease. In November of 2017, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute (UOHI) launched Canada's first specific walking rehabilitation and cardiovascular risk reduction program dedicated to patients with PAD. An on-site, supervised exercise program to improve walking endurance and quality of life in PAD has been shown to be successful. However many patients are not able to participate in the on-site program due to barriers such as transportation, parking, or other commitments. Recently, a home-based walking program has also been shown to significantly improve walking endurance and quality of life among people with PAD. It was decided that a hybrid program, that has a short on-site program followed by a home-based program may allow more patients to participate and have the highest chance of success. The goal is to develop a new hybrid program for medical care in PAD patients in order to: (a) improve their walking distance, (b) improve their quality of life and (c) improve their cardiovascular risk. As part of this study the investigators will enrol 25 participants with PAD. Participants will be studied at baseline (before their first on-site class) and at 3 month follow up (after their last home program phone call).

18 - 90Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic illness characterized by inflammation of the intestine. Many individuals with IBD suffer from depressive symptoms and anxiety which can lead to a decreased quality of life, poor treatment compliance, and higher morbidity and mortality. The object of this clinical trial is to investigate the effects of a fasting mimicking diet in IBD patients who are suffering with symptoms of depression. Participants will carry out 3 cycles of a 5-day period of a plant-based low caloric diet or a plant-based caloric sufficient diet following by 3 weeks of eating normally. Effects of the dietary intervention on microbes in the gut, immune and metabolic function, and depressive symptoms will be measured. The overall goal is to develop a safe and effective treatment to improve mental health in patients with IBD by targeting the gut microbiome through dietary interventions.
