There is increasing evidence that the usage and delivery of energy to the brain, known as brain energetics, is altered in people with Parkinson's disease (PD). This project will explore whether exercise has a positive impact on brain energetics using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) brain scanning in PD subjects. PD subjects will be scanned before and after a supervised exercise program to investigate the effect of exercise on brain energetics. In a separate study, the investigators will also scan healthy volunteers to compare brain energetics in the healthy brain with the brain energetics data in PD subjects acquired in this study.

40 - 80Ion deficiency anemia (IDA) is associated with poor neonatal outcomes and maternal morbidity. Iron replacement may be done with oral iron or intravenous iron, with intravenous iron being utilized later in pregnancy or if there is an inadequate response to oral iron in the first trimester. In Canada, iron sucrose has been used, however iron isomaltoside is as safe as other formulations of IV iron but can replete iron stores with a single visit. Replenishing iron stores reduces both maternal and neonatal risks and is supported by current guidelines. Iron status may play a role in depression, as well as anemia, bleeding and blood transfusion. The goal of this clinical trial: * Correct IDA with fewer visits and less impact on the healthcare system * Improve the health and well being of all pregnant women who are experiencing moderate to severe iron deficiency anemia.

18 - 50Cystic fibrosis (CF)-related diabetes (CFRD) is the most important emerging complication after pulmonary complications. This specific form of diabetes is associated with an increased morbidity and mortality. CFRD prevalence at the age of 10 is 10% and reaches 40 to 50% in adulthood, while a similar percentage is afflicted with milder dysglycemia also called pre-diabetes abnormalities. In order to identify patients at risk and to implement early therapeutic measures, an annual CFRD screening test is recommended for CF patients after 10 years of age. The standard 2-hour oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT) is the recommended screening test. However, this test is perceived by both patients and CF care teams as unpleasant while adding a significant burden and workload, resulting in screening rates lower than 50% in most centers. An ideal alternative test should be simpler, less invasive, more sensitive than an OGTT to establish risks for lung function and/or nutritional deterioration, and predict future CFRD risk. To date, compared to the OGTT, no alternative screening method has demonstrated its effectiveness. However, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) is emerging as a possible alternative method. In patients living with CF, CGM is easy to use and can identify early dysglycemia, which in turn, can predict increased risk of accelerated decline of pulmonary function and/or weight, higher risk of pseudomonas colonization, and future risk of CFRD. However, these observations are based on studies of small sample size with very limited prospective data. Furthermore, many of the multiple CGM metrics that have been standardized are based on the risk of complications associated with Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes. Thus, there is a need for prospective studies to identify the CGM metrics and the cut-off level that is relevant as a predictor of clinical deterioration and/or CFRD risk in CF. The identification of such CF-specific criteria would provide important information to target at-risk patients.

Over 18As medical students rotate through different hospital sites as part of their studies, the students are frequently exposed to new and unfamiliar environments. This can cause anxiety in some students, and can potentially result in students becoming lost, and arriving late to their activities. To prevent this, students are currently provided with instructions in the form of written directions, photographs, maps, and/or 2-dimensional videos. In this study, the investigators will test if immersive 360-degree virtual reality videos (videos shown using a headset/goggles that allow the wearer to experience the video as though they were actually there), are better at teaching medical students how to navigate the hospital and find new locations, compared to normal, 2-dimensional video instructions. Medical students will be asked to find their way to a new location within the hospital, after being given instructions using either 2-dimensional (standard) video or 360-degree virtual reality video. The investigators will measure how long it takes students to find the new location, and how often the students get lost or confused along the way. If successful, the investigators believe that this new method of teaching will help students to get around in new places more easily and lessen student anxiety. This will also increase knowledge related to 360-degree virtual reality video for teaching medical students.

AnyThe goal of this observational study is to determine if thin endometrial lining that is unresponsive to estrogen might be associated with the presence of senescent cells in patients following long-term use of oral contraceptives. The main question it aims to answer is: Are there any senescent cells present in thin endometrial lining? During the luteal phase of the cycle, participants will will undergo: * Gynecologic US to measure the endometrial lining thickness and pattern. * Endometrial biopsy with Pipelle catheter

18 - 39Older adults, especially those in acute care require accessible non-pharmacological interventions, such as music to improve their mental health. Immersive 360 virtual reality (VR), is an innovative technology that has been found to be feasible, safe, and enjoyable by older adults. However, VR based music intervention to improve older adults' mental health has not been studied in acute in-patient settings.

Over 60Patients with histologically proven adenocarcinoma of the rectum will receive pelvic radiotherapy to a dose of 45Gy in 25 fractions with a tumor boost to a dose of 9Gy in 5 fractions (thus total of 54Gy/30Fx to the primary tumor), combined with radio sensitizing chemotherapy. Patients will then be closely monitored, through endoscopy and imaging, for response to treatment and relapse. Salvage oncologic surgery to be offered if there is failure to achieve complete clinical response or in the event of a loco regional relapse.

Over 18Physical activity can enhance well-being among youth diagnosed with oncological or hematological diseases. We developed a tailored, 1:1, online physical activity program (i.e., IMPACT), to promote physical activity in this cohort. The proposed single-group, mixed-methods project will assess the effect of IMPACT and explore markers of implementation.
