An open-label, dose-escalation study to explore the safety, tolerability and pharmacokinetics of EP-104IAR in adults with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE). Endoscopic and histologic assessments will also be evaluated to understand the local effects of EP-104IAR on eosinophilic EoE disease activity. Approximately 27 to 33 participants will be enrolled in dose escalation: 3-6 participants per dose cohort in approximately 9 cohorts. The number of participants enrolled in escalation will depend on the number of dose escalation cohorts evaluated, and dose cohorts needing to be expanded. An additional 10-24 participants will be enrolled in 1 or 2 cohorts of 10-12 participants each at tolerable dose regimen(s) selected based on the accumulated clinical data to identify the recommended phase 2 dose(s) (RP2D). The study involves 8-10 site visits spread over approximately 24-52 weeks. All participants will receive active study drug (EP-104IAR), The study drug will be administered by qualified personnel during an esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedure at the Baseline/Dosing visit. Safety will be assessed throughout the study. Blood and urine samples will be collected at site visits for laboratory assessments and to measure plasma levels of EP-104IAR. Participants will complete questionnaires to assess symptoms of dysphagia and odynophagia and will undergo 3-4 EGDs with esophageal biopsies at the Baseline/Dosing Visit, at 4, 12 and 36 weeks post dose.

18 - 75The purpose of the study is to measure the effects of obturator nerve cryoneurotomy, on clinical measures in adult (ages 19+) and paediatric (ages 12-18) patients with hip adductor spasticity, who will receive this procedure as a part of their treatment based on the spasticity treatment available guidelines. The results will provide us valuable information like how long cryoneurotomy is effective, before regeneration happens

Over 12TARGET-DERM is a longitudinal, observational study of adult and pediatric patients being managed for Atopic Dermatitis and other Immune-Mediated Inflammatory Skin Conditions (IMISC) in usual clinical practice. TARGET-DERM will create a research registry of patients with IMISC within academic and community real-world practices in order to assess the safety and effectiveness of current and future therapies.

AnyMpox is caused by a virus that can be spread through touching the affected skin of someone who has the infection, touching sheets or clothes that has been used by someone with the infection, or breathing in particles of virus from someone who has the infection. Mpox infection can cause skin and flu-like symptoms, but can also cause very few symptoms, or no symptoms at all. While the number of participants with mpox symptoms can be tracked, little is known about how many people have mpox, but experience few or no symptoms at all. To do this, a Canadian sample of gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men (GBMSM) who are participating in a randomized controlled trial will be screened for mpox symptoms. Screening will include questions about whether they may be experiencing any mpox symptoms, history of past diagnosis of mpox, sexual history, and vaccination history and awareness. Swabs will be taken to test for the presence of mpox virus, and a blood sample will be taken to test for antibodies. Approximately 450 individuals will be recruited. The results will be descriptive in nature.

AnyThe goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the EX-CIPN exercise-based intervention is feasible, acceptable, and safe in participants with persistent chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). It will also give insight on the effectiveness of the exercise intervention in treating CIPN symptoms. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Is EX-CIPN safe, acceptable, and feasible in cancer survivors experiencing persistent CIPN? * Are the study design and methods feasible (recruitment and retention rates, feasibility of data collection and procedures)? Researchers will provide all participants with the exercise-based intervention. Participants will: * Complete assessments at baseline, immediately post-intervention, and 3-months post-intervention * Complete a 10-week remote, individualized exercise program * Receive health coaching calls on weeks 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 of the intervention * Wear a FitBit throughout the study to track physical activity and promote behaviour change

Over 18Motor slowing and cognitive slowing are more prevalent as we age. Importantly, the presence of both in an older person increases their risk of having dementia by ten times. Currently, there are no clinically meaningful predictors of progression to dementia in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). The main hypothesis is that subtle variations in gait while performing a simple cognitive task is a reliable, easy to perform, and feasible methodology to detect those older adults at higher risk of progression to dementia and also, at higher risk of further mobility decline and falls. Rationale. The Canadian population is aging. According to recent estimates, the proportion of the population aged 65 and older will increase rapidly from 13% in 2005 to 25% by 2031. This increase in proportion is accompanied by a considerable amount of disability and subsequent dependency which has major effects on both the quality of life of older adults and their caregivers, and on the Canadian health care system. An important goal of geriatric medicine is to reduce the gap between life expectancy and disability-free life expectancy by reducing disability and dependency in the later years of life. A substantial portion of this disability stems from two major geriatric syndromes: cognitive impairment and mobility limitation. The ultimate manifestations of these syndromes are dementia and falls. Interestingly, these manifestations often coexist in elderly people: falling is a common geriatric syndrome affecting about a third of older adults each year, and dementia affects about a third of Canadians aged 80 and over. Together, dementia and falls are responsible for much of the discomfort, disability, and health care utilization in older adults and each will become more prevalent as older Canadians are expected to number approximately $9 million by 2031. The combined direct cost of dementia and falls for the Canadian Health System is over $4.9 billion per year. Establishing reliable and easy to obtain predictors to accurately identify MCI patients at highest risk of progressing to dementia is essential first, to determine who will benefit from additional and/or invasive testing and second, to implement preventative strategies, including cognitive training, physical exercises, and aggressive vascular risk factors correction to delay progression. Even a modest one-year delay in dementia incidence could save Canada $109 billion over 30 years.

60 - 85Placement of a ureteral stent is a common urological intervention. For decades there was no valid measures available to assess quality of life issues in patients with ureteral stents, which has hampered the understanding of such symptoms and their true impact. In order to improve the outcomes associated with the placement of a stent, a validated tool is needed to measure its impact and the amount of undesirable effects it produces on patients requiring the placement of a stent. In 2003, the team of the Bristol Urological Institute developed a validated questionnaire called the: URETERAL STENT SYMPTOM QUESTIONNAIRE (USSQ). The questionnaire contains 38 items included in 6 sections. Despite the obvious need of a validated questionnaire, the latter remains unused by the community of peer urologists. Many of urologists consider it too long to be used in clinical practice and even for research purposes. This issue motivated the Canadian Endourology Group (CEG) to work collaboratively on the development of the CANADIAN ENDOUROLOGY GROUP STENT SYMPTOM SCORE (CEGSSS) in order to provide clinicians with a more useful and validated tool. To fulfill this objective, the CEG proceeds in three phases. Phase 1. A systematic, deliberative, and participatory approach mostly through face to face meetings, including patients, clinicians, and researchers in the field of Endourology to identify a minimum needs-based set of domains and items that are, clinically relevant to be included in the CEGSSS in order to ensure optimal uptake in the clinical setting. Phase 2. A pilot study to assess feasibility/acceptability and further refine the proposed set of items selected in phase 1 of the study. Phase 3. A multicentric prospective study to evaluate the validity, reliability and sensitivity to change of the CEGSSS. This research project is conducted by the Canadian Endourology Group (CEG), a panel of experts in the field of endourology in Canada. The CEG is a national member-based organization dedicated to enabling the profession to provide the highest possible standards of endourological care and to advance the science of endourology by collaboratively: 1. Fostering excellence in endourological practice through advocacy, education, research and practice support tools, 2. Leading evidence-based clinical practice through the development of practice standards and guidelines in endourology, 3. Providing continuous professional development for Canadian endourologists along the career-path continuum, 4. Providing leadership in public education for endourological conditions.

Over 18PLTS-1 is a multicentre, randomized, controlled, pilot trial, using a conventional, parallel group, two-armed design at 2 cardiac surgery centres in Canada. The study is designed to assess the feasibility of a future, definitive RCT to determine the non-inferiority of cold-stored platelets compared to conventional platelets with respect to hemostatic effectiveness (total number of allogeneic blood products transfused within 24 hours after CPB), as well as safety.

Over 18The objective of the rFVIIa for Acute Hemorrhagic Stroke Administered at Earliest Time (FASTEST) Trial is to establish the first treatment for acute spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) within a time window and subgroup of patients that is most likely to benefit. The central hypothesis is that rFVIIa, administered within 120 minutes from stroke onset with an identified subgroup of patients most likely to benefit, will improve outcomes at 180 days as measured by the Modified Rankin Score (mRS) and decrease ongoing bleeding as compared to standard therapy.
