Testing a new device to improve oxygen delivery for users of long term oxygen

A new device, the PillowsPlus Nasal Cannula, has been developed to improve oxygen delivery during sleep and exercise. We are testing to determine how well the device works and if shows improvements in oxygen delivery over the current standard nasal cannula.

Participation Requirements

  • Sex:

    Any
  • Eligible Ages:

    18 and up

Participation Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
Anyone using a long term oxygen delivery system is eligible to participate.
Exclusion Criteria:
General Exclusion Criteria:
- Unstable angina during the previous month.
- Myocardial infarction during the previous 12 months.
- Participants are prescribed a flow rate of 6 litres per minute or more.
- Participants have cold/flu symptoms including congestion

Sleep Study: Participants have co-existing obstructive sleep apnea.
Walk Study Exclusion Criteria: Participants cannot walk more than 25 minutes a day.
