Gambling Imaging Study

We are looking for people who are regular gamblers to participate in a research study. This study investigates the effects of taking a drug used to treat alcohol dependence to treat disordered gambling. If selected, you will be in the control group and will not receive any medication. Participants will also have brain scans at the beginning and end of the study and will will passively measure brain signals on the scalp at follow-up .

Participants will be asked to complete a range of assessments. Compensation is provided for completing these assessments.

Participation Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
We are looking for people who are regular gamblers to participate in a research study. This study investigates the effects of taking a drug used to treat alcohol dependence to treat disordered gambling. If selected, you will be in the control group and will not receive any medication. We are looking for individuals that meet the following requirements:

• 18-70 years of age
• Frequent gambler
• Primarily play slots or VLTs
• English speaking
Exclusion Criteria:
• If you have a current significant medical illness, or unmanaged psychiatric or neurological disorder
• Any opioid medication use
• History of a traumatic brain injury or loss of consciousness (10 minutes or more)
• If you have fear of confined spaces
• If you are left handed
• Any condition or circumstance that prohibits imaging sessions such as metal implants
• Current illicit drug use
• Uncorrected visual impairment
• Evidence of brain abnormalities from brain scans
