Respiratory Research Pre-Screening

This pre-screening protocol is for people who would like to participate in a respiratory clinical trial. The protocol will allow us to determine:

1) which research project is the best fit for each person; and
2) if a person meets each study's eligibility criteria

The Respiratory Clinical Trials Centre has several research projects ongoing at any time. These projects will include subjects with asthma or COPD. They can sometimes involve healthy individuals as well.

If you agree to take part in the pre-screening protocol, the study team will ask you to complete three tests:

1) Spirometry
2) Methacholine Challenge
3) Allergy Skin Prick Test

  • Sex:

    Male, Female, Intersex

  • Eligible Ages:

    18 and up

Participation Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:
You might be eligible to take part in this pre-screening protocol if you:

- are 18 years of age or older
- are interested in and willing to take part in a respiratory clinical trial
- are able to give informed consent
Exclusion Criteria:
You might not be eligible to take part in this pre-screening protocol if you:

- are under 18 years of age
- are not interested in or willing to take part in a respiratory clinical trial
- you are not able to or do not wish to give informed consent
